Originally by: Fluxcage Ryysa, you really need to stop posting. Each time you post, ganking for ISK becomes harder and harder. To be frank, I wonder what your motives are. You used to be pretty laid back in the V/LV days, but for past 6 months you have been posting damn good setups for masses and its showing effect on the average players especially in lowsec. Whats your purpose? This is a PVP game, constantly fixing other peoples setups especially in this forum must hurt your own wallet gains in the end.
You know, I don't believe that setup makes the player, it's just half of the deal. If you have more player SKILL (not skillpoints) you will still kill your enemy, even with inferior setup.
Also, believe it or not, but the quality of ships and modules forum has gone down a LOT lately. When I started the game, I got loads and loads of good setups from this forum. Lately the setups that are posted here make baby jesus cry, and I'd really like the forums to serve as the best possible guide for newer players, as they once served me.
Also, I wouldn't describe myself exactly as "laid back", more as hyperactive ;)
Quote: I fail to see why you fix ******** setups on these forums in a PVP game. It's very counter productive. Care to explain why you do it? I mean, if the original poster would have undocked in his 13km orbit vagabond (lol), it would have been nice kill and loot. Most likely, if the person is asking in forums whats wrong with his setup, well basicly fitting that setup in the first place shows complete lack of understanding of the game, it would have basicly been yet another good vaga kill every time encountered. He would have never figured out why he keeps getting killed. But you choose to fix it - would be nice to know your motive for that.
It's called being nice. You know, while I do understand that you're ****ed off if I give out all my "knowledge"/"secrets" to "noobs", you must also understand that there will be always a lot of very stupid people in this game. The thing is, I wouldn't say that killing stupid people is more fun than having a good fight. Perhaps your opinion differs.
Let's look at it this way, I like helping people out, believe it or not. I might make fun of people who post stupid stuff every now and then, but in the end, if someone gets gain from what I post, I get this warm fuzzy feeling inside (j/k).
All in all, this will sound cheesy, but the behaviour you are suggesting is destructive towards the community, while sharing and helping is constructive. Think about it a bit, and also try to see past self-gain.
Fortunatly, ryysa is right (as usual). There are s illy number of miners that have gone straight into battleships... armed with small guns. The world is failing!
